How It Is Used
Desiccant goes in the lower compartment and dried samples or crucibles rest on the porcelain plate, where they cool and are stored without picking up moisture. Grease the ground rim lightly and slide the lid on horizontally to avoid trapping air. On the vacuum model, open the stopcock very slowly so the inrush of air does not disturb fine powders.
