How It Is Used
Liquid is drawn above the zero line and run out to the graduation needed, so a single pipette can deliver several different volumes for dilutions and reagent preparation. On a Mohr-type pipette the graduations stop before the tip and the liquid left in the tip is not counted; on a serological, blow-out type they run to the tip and the last drop is expelled.
