How It Is Used
Slit plates and lenses are slotted into the front grooves to produce rays for reflection and refraction work. With a biconvex cylindrical lens of 75 mm focal length in place, the rays leaving the slit plate can be made divergent or convergent. Blanking plates close any side opening not in use.
