Volumetric Pipette
Product Code : SCL-CLE-11921
The StemAids Volumetric Pipette (also known as a bulb pipette) is a precision-engineered laboratory instrument designed for the extremely accurate transfer of a single, fixed volume of liquid. Unlike graduated pipettes, which allow for variable measurements, the volumetric pipette is calibrated "To Deliver" (TD) a specific capacity with a very low margin of error. Manufactured to ISO 648 Class A and B standards, it is the gold standard for preparing standard solutions and performing analytical titrations where volumetric integrity is paramount.

Key Pedagogical & Laboratory Outcomes
- Precision Interface: Facilitates the understanding of Analytical Accuracy. Learners identify why a single-mark pipette is superior to graduated cylinders for minimizing "uncertainty" in chemical measurements.
- Volumetric Quantification: Enables the preparation of Standard Solutions; learners apply the pipette to deliver an exact aliquot of a stock solution into a volumetric flask for precise dilutions (C1V1=C2V2).
- Titration Analysis: Supports the analysis of "Stoichiometric Ratios"; students evaluate unknown concentrations by delivering a high-precision volume of analyte into a conical flask.
- Technique Evaluation: Allows students to evaluate the "Drainage Tip" principle; learners practice the "touch-off" technique, recognizing that the small amount of liquid remaining in the tip is accounted for in the calibration and should not be blown out.
Operational Best Practices
To maintain the high accuracy (0.01ml–0.08ml tolerance), StemAids recommends:
- Aseptic Cleaning: The glass must be "chemically clean" so that the liquid film breaks evenly on the inner surface without leaving droplets (beading).
- Meniscus Alignment: The bottom of the liquid meniscus must be exactly tangent to the top of the graduation mark at eye level.
- Suction Safety: Always use a rubber bulb or a mechanical pipette filler; never pipette by mouth, especially with corrosive or biological samples.
International Logistics & Compliance
StemAids ensures comprehensive OEM readiness for global institutional procurement:
- Packaging: Export-grade, reinforced packaging. Pipettes are long and slender; they are packed in rigid, shock-absorbent tubes or partitioned boxes to prevent snapping during maritime transit.
- Documentation: Includes Manufacturer’s Authorization Form (MAF), Certificate of Conformance (CoC), and batch or individual calibration certificates for Class A models.
- Durability: Borosilicate 3.3 ensures that the markings remain etched and visible even after repeated exposure to aggressive cleaning detergents and acid baths.
Direct OEM Sourcing Advantages
Procuring StemAids Volumetric Pipettes directly ensures vertical manufacturing control:
- Individually Calibrated Tips: Direct oversight ensures the orifice diameter is perfectly controlled, resulting in standardized "outflow times" as required by ISO standards.
- Permanent Amber/Blue Stain: We use fired-on stains for markings that are fused into the glass surface, ensuring they never fade or peel during the lifespan of the instrument.
- Direct Factory Inventory: Guaranteed availability of the full range of sizes, including the highly utilized 25ml and 50ml sizes for standard titrations.
- Quality Assurance: Every Class A pipette is gravimetrically tested to ensure the delivered volume is within the strict tolerances defined by international metrology.
